Welcome to Gymkies
Your one-stop shop for gymnastics accessories including quality Uneven Bar Grips, wrist bands, tapes, safety kits and more, mostly essentials for gymnasts competing in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (aka WAG), except for leotards.
How it all began...
Our family’s journey with Women’s Artistic Gymnastics started in Singapore in year 2005, when Kieona (the firstborn in the family) was 11 months old. Kierra started gymnastics classes at 9 months old, while the youngest Kielia started when she was 4 years old.
Between the 3 girls, we have been involved in WAG training and competitions for nearly 20 years, from being recreational gymnasts to competitive gymnasts to coaching and judging. Over the years as it gets easier to find places to buy leotards (which is really the easy part), the challenge remains for parents to get support when it comes to things like when and where to go to get a good pair of Uneven Bar Grips, what size to get, what to your gymnast gets blisters or injuries, how to treat them and what to do to aid recovery, etc. And it is not always convenient to check with your coach, or if your coach is not very sensitive to such things.
If you are a family with WAG gymnasts, we understand your challenges and while we are constantly sharing through our informal networks with our experiences, we know there are a lot more families with budding WAG gymnasts who don’t know what to do, where to go or how to do it. We know we would have appreciated a place like this – and so Gymkies is born.

Gymkies is short for Gym Monkeys, with a play on the first 3 alphabets of the 3 gymnasts in our family. We hope Gymkies can be a part of every WAG gymnast’s journey.
